A more sophisticated instrument than the MicroTEV, the MiniTEV detects Partial Discharge giving a reading of decibel level and pulse frequency. This allows a graded indication of discharge level and is a suitable instrument for technicians with an appreciation of the readings being gathered.
Instrument Detects Partial Discharge and displays magnitude in decibels on LCD screen. It also produces a value for the discharge pulse rate which can be used to calculate a "severity factor" for the discharge.
